Dwarf Pomegranate
**PLEASE NOTE**
Germination can take up to 40 days. Scarification and overnight soaking in warm water can help. Seed germination tests are in progress as of 3-11-2021 with no germination yet. But seeds were harvested, fully mature, in 2018 and should be viable. Some extra patience may be needed.
Attractive foliage with lanceolate leaves and numerous stems, this variety only grows to about 2’ tall. Beautiful, large, red flowers and and small, golf-ball sized fruits (or smaller, 1/2 to 1 oz.) make this a good house plant if grown in a sunny location. Pomegranates are deciduous but can tolerate only very light frost during the winter. Best outside in Summer. Good, but very tart flavor - barely a hint of sweetness. Not recommended for eating alone, but would add a nice zing to a fruit salad or the like.
