Medium-sized (up to 400g listed), quite flattened, sometimes lobed, very dark (burnt umber) fruits with dark olive green stripes. Outstanding flavor: rich, sweet and compelling. Regular leaf, very productive indeterminate vines. One of the earliest larger-fruited varieties to ripen, and good production continues until frost. A Russian commercial variety, Циндао transliterates to Tsindao or Qingdao, a city in northeastern China. Source seeds came directly from Marina of Russia.
