Quite an intriguing and fun variety! Cute little red fruits, averaging about 10 grams each, are the size of a child's fingers with excellent, sweet flavor. The flesh is rather dry and crunchy yet delicious and stores on the vine or the shelf for weeks without getting mushy! Even the vine is unusual, with essentially "regular" leaf foliage, though leaf serrations are minimal and many leafs appear "potato leaf". Vines are semi-determinate and high production continues for many weeks, from about 75 days until hard frost. Branching is extensive, but at the end of the season, there are no more growing tips. Main stems grow to about 3' long, so this is an excellent choice for container growing as well. Derived from the hybrid Juliet over six years by Delectation of Tomatoes. This shape and most traits have been stable for four years, but there is apparently some segregation still occurring. Traits as indicated above are what is hoped for, though a pure potato-leaf line would be nice. Variety named for Mynoa, a young cousin who is a great helper in the garden and expressed a particular fondness for this variety. She also happened to be born with polydactyly; and the name "Mynoa" would remind any history buff of the ancient, bronze-age Minoan civilization, which preceded the classical Greek civilization by some 1,500 years.
