Medium-sized to large (1.5+ lbs. documented), deep orange, oblate fruits with slight ribbing, meaty flesh and excellent flavor: fruity, lively and sweet, with a light tart undertone. Indeterminate, regular leaf vines; modest yield from 97 days, 117 from seed. Heirloom variety; named for Barnes Mountain in Estill county, Kentucky.
