Striking, deep red to burgundy colors kernels. A dent corn that is delicious as corn meal, corn flour, parched or roasted. Very edible as corn-on-the-cob also if harvested when quite young. On old heirloom from the United States, dating back to 1845. Stalks reported to grow to 12', but with minimal care, these were 6-7' tall. At least 120 days from sowing to dry kernels. Harvested on 9-28-2016.
