Update 3/23/2022
Just received report of zero germination of melon seeds harvested in 2015. I have been compelled to move five times since 2015 and have been unable to keep up with replenishing seeds of melons and many other types. Melon seeds should be viable for at least 5 years, but it looks like 7 years is just too long, at least for some.
Before requesting any seeds from this page, please drop me an email ([email protected]) and I will check my seed inventory to see what the most recent date of harvest is. Regrettably, I don't have the time or resources to conduct the 25,000+ seed germination tests that I "ought" to do every year.
Following is list of varieties of watermelons for which seeds are currently available.
For the moment, this is only a partial list. If you are looking for other varieties, please drop me an email at [email protected]. Most of these are open-pollinated, with some chance of cross-pollination.
Order from the "Universal/Generic" link at the top left. This is a work in progress to process photos, write descriptions, and prepare individual pages for each variety.
