Hanging from Vesuvius
Small, red, prolate “grape” tomatoes, often with a pronounced nipple. Though texture is meaty and somewhat dry, flavor is outstanding: deep, rich and thoroughly sweet. Indeterminate, potato leaf vines produce very well from 75 days. Listed as excellent for drying and for storage. Actual variety name “might be” Piennollo del Vesuvio, but that’s market protected.
