Quite an impressive variety! Extremely hardy and extra early - beating out the likes of Stupice and Forest Fire. Very compact determinate vine with rugose, regular leaf foliage. Plants typically load up with almost all tomatoes and few leaves. Vines can be planted 12" apart or in pots as small as 2 gallons. Fruits are small (1-3 oz.), orange and generally spherical. Flavor is very good, with a nice tangy overtone - a very welcome treat early in the season. Russian variety, Утёнок translates to "Duckling".
