West Virginia 63
Small to medium-sized (to 8 oz. listed), red, round fruits look similar to grocery store tomatoes but with better flavor – sweet, though somewhat mild. Regular leaf, indeterminate vines with modest yield from 60 days, 142 from seed. Bred for tolerance to late blight and other common diseases by Mannon Gallegly, a professor from West Virginia University, and released in 1963 as part of the state's centennial celebration.
