Striking, distinctive shape and color: bright yellow, top-shaped or prolate a pronounced central bulge. Flavoris quite good: rich, somewhat sweet with dry flesh and tough skin. Seeds obtained from Dimitry Shlomin of Bryansk, Russia. This is NOT the same variety as “Bandung” as previously assumed; Bandung is a totally different variety – a tiny red currant from Indonesia.
