Medium to large, spherical fruits with deep red flesh and clear skin. Flesh is juicy with a good, balanced flavor. Huge, indeterminate, regular leaf vines with surprisingly low fruit set, though this could be due to local growing conditions. A McCutchan family heirloom from Middlebourn, West Virginia, dating back 100 years or so. David McHenry acquired the seeds from the McCutchan family. Seeds then from David to Michael Staddon of Salem, West Virginia (my seed source). Michael's results include 30 lbs. per plant, average weight of 1.75 lb., and a largest specimen of 3.31 lb. in 2009.
